Piers Morgan is a jerk. I know some of you may be thinking, “tell me something I didn’t know,” while others are just staring blankly, “who is that?” In America, he’s known as being the other snarky British guy on America’s Got Talent. To be honest, I’m not quite sure why he is well known in Britan. What I do know is that his criticism of others is often quite scathing.
Recently a photo appeared on Twitter of Daniel Craig ‘wearing” his child. “Babywearing” is the practice of carrying a baby or toddler in a sling or soft structured carrier that the parent wears across their chest or back. It’s a practice that has been done by many cultures worldwide. Children who carried like this have been shown to cry less often and it is especially beneficial for premature babies. I remember. being carried like that until I was almost five years old(I may have been carried a little longer than average, because of being born prematurely I was smaller than most children my age for a long time) and thinking that it was the coolest thing ever because I had the best view whenever we went somewhere.
Mr. Craig, good for you for taking an active role in the younger stages of your child’s life, they don’t stay that small forever. Mr. Morgan, it’s almost 2019, get over yourself and stop criticizing people because they parent differently than you. I am far more concerned about fathers who raise their children like Brock Turner’s father raised him ruining masculinity than I am about men who babywear newborns, infants, and toddlers ruining it. Get your priorities straight.
